Are You Making Progress as a Writer?.

 

Words of wisdom.  Having a goal isn’t simply important to keep working, it’s vital as a way to measure your current and projected progress. When I was teaching, far too many students assumed that everything would “come together” at the very end of the semester.

 

More often than not, they were unpleasantly surprised.  The same applies to all writers, as well as any profession that is primarily inner directed, as opposed to under the control of external parties.
